Steve Levitan was one of Canada's most highly requested entertainment laywer until he decided to pursue a carrer in production in 1988 and he joined Sunrise Films Ltd., which was, once, one of Canada's most sucessful production companies. Here he was an executive producer for the International Emmy Award-winning series My Secret Identity (MCA/CTV); two successful seasons of the series Max Glick (CBNC); Quiet Killer, a Movie of the Week for CBS/CTV; and Matrix, a 13-episode series for USA Network and CTVand the feature film Sam and Me, which followed. Then in 1993 Levitan teamed up with Paul Bronfman to found Protocol Entertainment Inc and is an executive producer for The Saddle Club.
