Carole is devesated when her mother dies of cancer and she almost gives up riding altogether until her father reminds her that her mother would have wanted her to follow her dream and she uses some of the money that her mother left her to buy Starlight. Starlight is totally devoted to Carole and he seems to sense excatly what she wants before she even asks him. Starlight is what is described as a Buckskin which is not a breed but a colour. They vary in shade from "creme" to "brozne" and they are also know to have very dark points (mane, tail, half way up their legs and their ear frames).Buckskins vary in size, since they are not a breed and in Australia their is now a "club" where you can have a "registered buckskin horse."
