Lara's first experince with the theatre was at the age of 4 and when it was finished she wouldn't budge, she just sat. And her love of all things performance has continued through her life. Before The Saddle Club Lara also played in live performances. Her first role was the lamb in Charlotte's Web, a Kidz for Kidz production, at age seven and she sang and danced in Babes in Toyland for the People's Playhouse and major roles in school productions such as The Phantom of the Toll Booth. But her first big break came when she was chosen to play Young Eponine in Les Miserables, Cameron Mackintosh's 10th Anniversary presentation in Melbourne.

When Lara was in year 6 she was voted house captain. She is a good all rounder. Sports play a large role in Lara's life, apart from soccor which is temporally off the list while The Saddle Club is being filmed because soccer seems a little bit dangerous for her at the moment. She is an exceptionally strong swimmer, exceptional at long distance running, she sails with her father on most weekends and owns her own small sail boat, she has a bronze medallion in surf life saving and she is also very good at visual arts and her paintinf of Britany Spears is hung up at her school. Lara sings with her school choir, learns German, she has also been recognized for her jazz work and won prizes at the Red Hill Show for her sewing. Lara also spends a lot of time looking after her two dogs, Elvis and Pricilla, her cat Gladiator, and her gunnia-pig Twinkle Toes.  

Lara would probably be one of the people who know Lisa best so of course she would be asked a lot of questions about Lisa. Her general comment on Lisa for the official Saddle Club website was I like her. She does a lot in her life and I do too. She is a bit nervous of her mother who is too controlling and she doesn't like her sister very much, because her sister can be a bit annoying. I think Lisa makes friends easily but sometimes she feels a bit stressed. She also told us in her interview for the ABC Holiday Special that she and Lisa were very the same but also very different; I think I am very much like Lisa. Lisa has a lot of ideas and believes in herself. She loves horses and would rather hurt herself than her friends. She always cares for people in need. She is a little romantic, and always falls in love. I am a lot like her, but she is a bit of a worry wart at times - I'm not! When she was asked for her comment on Lisa for series 2 she says: "Lisa is a really organised person. I wouldn't wear the same clothes she does and Lisa certainly wouldn't do some of the wacky things I do with my hair. She has a big heart and she gets hurt easily. She is always there for her friends and she is utterly devoted to the club. I can imagine being friends with someone like Lisa."

Like most of the other kids in the cast, and adults to, Lara hadnt really ridden before getting her job on The Saddle Club but she developed a very good bond her horse on the show Prancer. Rocky and I (Rocky is Prancer's real name) get along fine. I love him very much and I respect him and he respects me. We have a great friendship and I don't want to leave him. I want to take him home! Lara was also asked to describe her dream horse, and now that she knows so much about horses, she can answer that one; In the second series there is a gypsy boy and he has a black horse that is just beautiful. I would love to have that horse! I would love to have a horse that has a mind of its own. It would love you and would do anything for you.

As we found out before, Lara enjoys singing as one of her favourite things. She sings in the school choir and she has her own band. She also sang for The Saddle Club albums, Fun For Everyone, On Top Of The World and now Friends Forever with the other cast members.But she also has 6 of her own songs Dreams Come True and The Sun is Always Shinning (Fun For Everyone), Everyday and Storm (On Top Of The World), Be A Star and In Denial, which she also preformed live on the "Show Ponies Tour" (Friends Forever). Lara says she was one of those girls who would sing to Beatles songs in the mirror with a hair-brush! I have been in quite a few stage productions and would love to do some more.

In ten years time Lara says that she wants to be a big star like Nicole Kidman because she loves acting and it what she knows she wants to do. She says that she would be absolutely thrilled to have opportunities like Moulin Rouge and would go to any lengths to be an actor.
